Throughout the year, the Illinois Judicial Conference hosts events and trainings for court employees who are involved in court communications.  

These events support PIOs and other court employees in fulfilling their external and internal communications responsibilities including, but not limited to, the administration of communications activities to support the Illinois Judicial Branch’s Strategic Agenda.  

By effectively leveraging communications platforms to connect with stakeholders, PIOs can educate the general public, court users, court staff, and the media about the Judicial Branch, while building public trust.

Media and the Courts, May 26, 2021 

During this course, court leaders developed skills in managing and utilizing media. This included information on emerging trends in media, including social media, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, as well as traditional media. Additionally, participants were exposed to resources for managing high-profile cases and the media.
