The 16th Judicial Circuit (Kane County) is comprised of the Kane County Judicial Center, Kane County Courthouse, Kane County Juvenile Justice Center, and three branch court locations.

  • Food The Kane County Judicial Center has food and beverage options onsite other than vending machines. It houses a cafe within the cafeteria located on the lower level of the building. Food and beverages are not allowed outside of the cafeteria.
  • Free Parking The Kane County Judicial Center and Juvenile Justice Center have free parking lots for their facilities, as well as being designated stops for the PACE bus system.

  • Law Library The Kane County Law Library & Self Help Legal Center is located within the Kane County Judicial Center. It is fully staffed by two librarians and a library para-professional. The Law Library also hosts an Illinois Justice Corps Fellow. The Law Library is open in person, by phone, and through email, M, T, Th, F 8:30am-4:30pm, W 8:30am-8:00pm, to assist with among other things, Zoom court, efiling, research, finding forms, and to answer general procedural questions. Computers with open internet, Lexis, Family Law Software and scanners are freely available for public use. Photocopiers and a mobile device charging station are also available for the public.

  • Self-Help Center The Legal Self Help Center is part of the Kane County Law Library & Self Help Legal Center and is housed within the Kane County Judicial Center.
